Turnkey Crushing Solutions for a Leading African Aggregate Producer
Download our case study to learn how AMPCO Minerals built a lasting partnership with a leading aggregate producer.
About the Project
AMPCO Minerals has delivered and commissioned two complete, high-performance aggregate crushing circuits for the leading privately held aggregates producer in Africa, with a third plant on the way. Designed for maximum efficiency and profitability, this multi-site expansion reflects AMPCO’s ability to deploy proven, scalable solutions across diverse geological and logistical conditions.
Working in close collaboration with our customer, AMPCO engineered an advanced system capable of producing six to seven distinct aggregate products from a single, streamlined operation. Each plant is on track to produce 350,000 tons of aggregate annually, and every element, from feeders and conveyors to custom support structures, was designed to ensure maximum safety, minimal waste, and seamless operational compliance.
A Complete, Integrated Aggregate Crushing Circuit
Each plant is built around a powerful, multi-stage crushing process. Our primary J3055 Jaw Crusher handles initial size reduction, feeding material through to a C40 Cone Crusher for secondary processing and a V90 Vertical Shaft Impact Crusher for tertiary refinement. Reliable screening technology, including two SI6204 four-deck incline vibrating screens and an incline scalping screen, ensures precise product separation throughout. GF5220 Grizzly Feeders and PF48 Pan Feeders manage material flow, while RE36 and REF36 Rare Earth Magnets handle tramp material separation. A comprehensive channel frame conveyor system and custom-engineered support structures complete each installation.
- Plant 1 — Operational and producing six distinct aggregate products.
- Plant 2 — Producing seven distinct aggregate products and is fully operational, reflecting site-specific customization within a consistent equipment framework.
- Plant 3 — Currently under construction, Plant 3 is designed to produce six distinct aggregate products and will be commissioned in early 2026, completing a three-plant network spanning multiple regions.
Consistent Performance. Adaptable Design. Proven Results.
Despite each plant operating under distinct geological and logistical conditions, AMPCO’s standardized equipment platform and collaborative engineering approach deliver consistent, high-quality output across all three sites. This project demonstrates AMPCO Minerals’ expertise in delivering customized, multi-plant solutions at scale and reflects the trust built with a long-time customer over years of successful partnership.
